After recovering from the flu, Corinne was finally able to be baptized yesterday. We had to postpone it last week since she was so sick. She was feeling great yesterday, though, and is super happy to be an official member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Grandma Ross gave a great talk on baptism and her other Grandma Love gave a talk on the Holy Ghost. Mauri and her friend sang a beautiful song, "Someone Needs Your Star" which has a line in it that reminds me of Corinne. It says, "You may be small, but you hold more goodness than you know". That's exactly what I think of Corinne -- she's a big spirit in a little body. We are all very proud of her and her decision to be baptized.

Does anyone read this blog?
Hey family, come on! You need to get on the ban-wagon and start blogging! I can see only a few who are taking the time to contribute when in all reality we want to know what you are all doing!!! So, instead of just reading this blog, lets see some enthusiasm about the wonderful lives of all the Buchanan kids and communicate while we have the chance! I love you all and to those who are actually taking the time to write about your lives, thank you! I guess I am just curious!

New Products Launch

New Products Launch
We just wanted to announce some of our latest inventions, about to debut in the marketplace, as soon as we get our pricing structure and marketing strategies nailed down. The first one is called "FilterKat"; conceptually it's like a computer mouse, but its primary function is to block all the unnecessary content at the bottom of your computer screen. Research shows most people don't have time to read all the way to the bottom of the screen, and will click out of most websites before scrolling down. FilterKat encourages web designers to post the most important information at the top, and trains web surfers to skip the unnecessary "bottom line".
Our second product, still in the testing phase, is the "Tidy Bowl Kat". We're in negotiations with the company which manufactures Lysol cleaning products for brand development rights, but we're confident this product will beat out that foam-charged brush that came out a couple of years ago. The Tidy Bowl Kat can double as a household pet, too!
Watch for us on "Why Didn't I Think of That?" sometime in the next few weeks!

Did Anyone Mention Trim?
Dad and his helpers have been laboring for months to restore the trim on the Old City Hall in Manti. Perhaps this slide show will give you a glimpse of the magic and talent of our Dad!

Corinne Turns Eight

Tanya and Shawn's daughter-Corinne turned 8 on February 17th. She had a fun birthday party the next day (a school holiday!) The girls wore aprons (made from dish towels), made their own personal pan pizzas and little chocolate cakes which they decorated. They played a few games and opened presents-of course. The girls (and Zachary) were so cute as budding young chefs. They all took home miniature muffin tins filled with goodies! Eight is Great!

Personality Test
What's Your True Color?
My Result: Orange
You're a bold, confident orange. A warm, powerful color that indicates a strong, welcoming personality, orange is the mark of people who are social and extroverted by nature. Vibrant, with an upbeat attitude, you have a bright, inviting demeanor. Energetic and fun-loving, you're a real friend-magnet. Your easy charm and unassuming manner make you the sort of person people want to meet and get to know better. Well-rounded and fun to be around, you enjoy helping others, so it's no surprise that orange also symbolizes attraction. Orange is an extraordinary color — for an extraordinary person.
What are you?

A place we should all aspire to visit
If you ever happen to be passing through the Santa Cruz mountains and stumble on a place called the Big Foot Museum, do not hesitate to park your car and step on in for a visit. Logan and I discovered this little piece of American culture when we were visiting Santa Cruz a few weeks ago. Yeah sure Santa Cruz has beautiful beaches, amusement parks on the pier, and old surf culture, but its most prized possession should be this joint. We had a good time while the museum "curator" told us stories about sightings of the alleged long haired man seen around areas close by. He had pictures, movies and books. I am sure glad that we had the opportunity to go.

Snow Day Kentucky Style
This here is no Utah and when we get even an inch of snow, school is cancelled. Well, we just had two snow days in a row and there was enough for the boys to sled down the neighbor's hill. We'll take what we can get in Kentucky as far as "fun in the snow" goes. It's back to school tomorrow and for that, I am grateful!
